war of the gardensA botanical card game exploring colonial ecology.
Not many of us are aware about how colonial history has shaped our natural surroundings. Apart from native plant species, India is now also home to many exotic species. This game not only communicates historical facts, it also helps the audience to identify trees around the city and familiarises them with the idea of sustainable gardening. It is a fun learning aid and can be used by all age groups. The aim of the game is to be the first one to finish building your own garden by trading and stealing trees from other players. It was created as one of my 4th year Degree Projects at Srishti College of Art and Design. Since its creation the game has been part of multiple exhibitions and events across India.
